Race Night Fundraiser at the Brewers Arms
On the 7th June a fundraising Race Night was held at The Brewers Arms in South Peterton. The event was arranged by Stephen Warren and raised £475 for Music For Africa. Thanks to Steven for all his efforts.

Donation from Gerry Brennan
1000 euros have been very kindly donated to MFA from a www.skyros.com participant Gerry Brennan. This money went straight away to S. Africa and paid for 31 students taking Trinity College exams in November 2008. Thanks Gerry
A Big Thank You for a Very Kind Donation
Ms Pauline Ellis and Mr John Hawley have very kindly donated £500 to MFA.
The Money was raised in memory of Steven Hawley, a loving son, brother and friend, who sadly died on 15 March 2008, aged 21.

Graham Bland, Director of Somerset Music has kindly donated £688 received from the retiring collection made at the Somerset Music Wells Cathedral Annual Concert December 2007.

Thank You to Ashill Community Primary School Ilminster
MFA would sincerely like to thank Mr David Scotney (Headteacher) ,Viv Wilson, and parents of Ashill Community Primary School Ilminster who have raised £100 to sponsor a Terms tuition for a Music for Africa student.
The students have written a song entitled Yeovil in appreciation of the people of Yeovil and the help they are receiving from Music for Africa and with a bit of help from Tom Toomey and Dave Wallace have recorded it. Use the controls below to hear it.
The money riased by Music for Africa is helping children of Africa to help themselves and giving them a future to look forward to.

A small donation can make a big difference to someone who has very little. £3 buys a set of guitar strings, £5 an hours tuition, £20 an exam entry to Trinity College and £50 a guitar. 100% of the donations received by Music for Africa are used help the children in the schools that we sponsor.
